I want to live in a treehouse.  Well okay fine, maybe not live, but certainly vacation for the summer.  Or maybe have one as a writing studio.  I never had a treehouse, but there is a cherry tree in my parent’s front yard that was the inspiration for many childhood daydreams.  There is something about sitting high above all the adults below that lets a child really explore her imagination.  That tree was a ship called the Sea Hawk (and I especially liked standing in the crow’s nest), a stable of horses, an orphanage, and a space ship full of monkeys (okay, so I was a weird kid).  If only I had a treehouse, the novels would pour out of me…I just know it…

I really like the idea of a treehouse village.  A community of like-minded tree dwellers within easy-rope-bridge-reach.
